Check out the Skywalk
The Skywalk is an amazing glass see-through bridge that is suspended 4,000 feet above the bottom of the Grand Canyon. If you’re visiting the west rim then this is a must do.
The Skywalk offers visitors unbeatable views of the Grand Canyon and amazing photography opportunities.
If you’re afraid of heights there’s no need to fear, the glass bridge is heavily reinforced and capable of holding up to 71 million pounds of weight.
This is the Grand Canyon west’s most popular site and see’s millions of visitors each year.
Tickets to the Skywalk are often sold in packages with other local attractions and great deals can be found, so if you want to enjoy some of the other attractions in the area such as helicopter tours then it’s a good idea to keep your eye out for potential deals.
Take pictures at Eagle Point
Eagle Point is a famous vista at the west rim of the Grand Canyon that offers unparalleled views. From Eagle Point you can capture photographs of the iconic rivers of red rock that make up the park and take the opportunity to bask in the stunning history of the Grand Canyon.
This is one of the best photography spots in the area and one of the greatest spots in the area to enjoy the park.
A new horse shoe shaped Skywalk has recently opened up at Eagle Point, this is a great way to enjoy the site from every angle and highly recommended to visitors.
Visit Guano Point
If you still have time after visiting Eagle Point then a visit to Guano Point is a must. If you’re puckish then stop by Guano Deli for something to eat before hiking up to the top of Guano Point to get some unbeatable views of one of the world’s natural wonders and take some beautiful photo’s.
This is a great place to stop for a while and enjoy a meal, and offers incredible views if you’re hoping to enjoy a sunset.
Do the highpoint hike
If you’re looking for a hiking opportunity at the Grand Canyon west then the highpoint hike is the one to do. This moderate hike is not too challenging but perfect for those who want a chance to get up close and personal with the park and see everything that it has to offer.
The Highpoint hike offers 360 degree views of the park, whilst the terrain can be a bit rough and uneven and there are patches of the hike that don’t have railing the views are well worth it.
Be a thrill seeker on a zip line
For thrill seekers, the recently installed zip line at Hualapai ranch is the most exciting way to see the park. The 3,200 foot zip line allows visits to soar more than 500 feet over the park and enjoy the views from above whilst getting their adrenaline pumping.
If you want some adventure out of your trip then a zip line experience is a fun and memorable way to see the park. Just make sure you pick a day where the weather is fine because inclement weather might ruin your plans!
